Sunday School
Classes for children (4 years old through 6th grade) are offered Sundays at 9:30 a.m. from September 19through May. Jim and Mary Olson are the teachers.
In addition to the classroom experiences, the Sunday School service projects this past year has included the "Blender Bash" that donated blenders to St. Andrews Clinic and the "Souper Bowl of Caring" that gave food to our community. The children work hard on these and are so proud when they are successful.
Our children at DHLC have and continue to "Make a Difference."
...is available for infants to age 4 during the 9:30 worship hour.
Confirmation Classes
...(for 7th and 8th graders) meet with Pastor Martin Overson at 1:30 p.m. on the first and second Wednesdays of each month (September through April).The first year's study uses Luther's Small Catechism, and the second year focuses on the Bible.
When young people are confirmed, students affirm their faith in their own words to become full members of the church. Confirmation classes are available each year; contact Pastor Overson to enroll.
Our youth group meets on Saturday afternoons from 6:00-7:30 pm in the church library. See the "Youth" page under "Ministries " for descriptions and photos of activities.
Our youth group is open to young people from 7th grade through the 12th grade.
