Worship Experiences 

Desert Hills Lutheran Church has four different worship services each week.

The worship services are on Sundays at 8:00, 9:30, 11:00 a.m., & Saturdays at 5 pm

  • The 5:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon worship service* is a Praise service of contemporary Christian music which is led by our Praise Singers and Band.  Power Point presentations are also used. 
  • The 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning is traditional style of worship with the Chancel Choir and organ.  The congregation sings many of the responses in the hymnal.
  • The 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service is a blended style of worship with old-time favorites and contemporary music with the Celebration Singers, organ and instrumentalists.  Power Point projections are also used.
  • The 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship service is a blended style of worship with old-time favorites and contemporary music with piano, vocal groups and instrumentalists.  Power Point projections are also used.

Music--The Chancel Choir, Celebration Singers, The Voices of Miriam, Bell Choir, Summer Singers, Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Choir, Clarinet Choir, Joy Ringers, Brass Choir and Praise Team Singers  add music to our worship experience. Children are welcome to come forward for an informal time with a children's sermon at all worship services.

Sunday School Classes are taught from September-May for children in Kindergarten-6th grade at 9:30 a.m. 

Confirmation Classes for 7th and 8th graders are available each year.  Contact Pastor Overson.  Telephone 648-1633.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month.  Here at Desert Hills Lutheran Church, we have an "open-table" policy; therefore, anyone who professes Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, may partake of communion.  We have a choice of red wine or white grape juice; you may also choose regular wafers or gluten-free wafers at each service.
