Desert Hills Lutheran Church is fortunate to have a staff of skilled and caring individuals who assist the congregation and handle the day-to-day operations. In addition, DHLC is led by our Congregational Council, which consists of nine members elected by the congregation. Each council member serves a three-year term, and terms are arranged so that the terms of one-third of the members expire annually.
Mary McNichols started on June 24, 2019 as the Assistant Administrator at Desert Hills Lutheran Church. She oversees and manages the front desk personnel; manages supply orders and vendor relationships; supports the church administrator by managing administration financial processes and serves as a back-up when the administrator is out of the office; maintains all church records and updates the database; works with volunteers; helps new members navigate committees and activities; writes articles for the Monday and Friday eblasts; and organizes sales. If you are not sure who can help you with a question or concern, check in with Mary. She loves that the people and their faith are at the heart of DHLC. It amazes her how much the members, visitors, and staff give of their time, talent, and tithes.
