In Luke 15:11-32 we encounter three roads. One road will lead us back to God even when we wander for a time on a different road. One road will appear to be leading us towards God, but will in fact turn us away from the ways of God. The third, is the road that God travels. A road of mercy and forgiveness. It is this third road that God invites us to travel as we live in the kingdom.

Assignment:

The third road is a road for mercy and forgiveness. What part of your life; your story, that needs to receive this gift of mercy and forgiveness offered by the third road? What would you need to leave behind or give up to receive this gracious gift? Can you think of individuals in your life that could use this gift of the third road? How can you invite them to journey on this road that leads to new life?
