It is a principle of education. We learn best when we have been shown, when we try with guidance, and when we step out to imitate our teacher. When asked by the people “how shall we live?” the prophet Micah said, “The LORD has shown you.” God does indeed “show us” and then calls us to follow.

Hebrews 13:7-8, Micah 6:1-8

Assignment:

On this card or piece of paper, write the names of people through whom God has shown you how to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God… put it on your refrigerator… and pray a prayer of thanksgiving every day.
