Paul now turns to the heart of his argument in Galatians. The cross of Jesus is where our true freedom is established and from it love flows into the world. It is a freedom to love through our faith in the works of Jesus. Love is open to all, no matter of what ethnic origin; but, even more, love is precisely the motivating force through which God himself welcomes all believers into his family. It is this love that motivates God to both create life and to redeem life through Christ. That same motivating force is what ought to make all family members welcome one another as well. Paul goes on to discuss how we are to bear burdens with one another. As a faith community, because of the love of God working through us by faith, we should encourage and build each other up, rather than tear down and destroy.
