God is with us through our lives, no matter what storms we may face. It is not God who turns away from us in our difficulty, but we turn away from God, we take our attention off Him, and we focus on our difficulty, and we are then stuck in that difficulty. It is God’s constant presence that lifts us out, and though He may not solve our problems, with His grace and presence, we have the strength and ability to overcome our difficulties. Grief is a natural expression of the “aftermath” of the storm. We can sink into the depths of that grief or choose to walk in faith and keep our focus on Jesus to see our way through.
