"Joy in the Kingdom " - Sat. July 29, 2023

The common factor of Jesus’ illustrations is that the Kingdom of Heaven has a small beginning and blossoms into something incredible. A mustard seed grows into a shrub, turning into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree. A pinch of yeast causes the bread to rise. A treasure found in a field or a fine pearl causes the one who finds it to react with unbridled joy. When we hear that Word of grace and love, we cannot help ourselves from jumping up and down with excitement. For some of us, this has been such a part of our lives that we lose some of the excitement which Jesus is trying to convey. However, all we need to do is to witness the joy in someone’s face and life when they realize that moment that this message of God’s grace and love really is for them. In that moment, our joy is renewed.
