In this weekend’s text we hear the triumphant shouts of the crowd “Hosanna” soon turn quickly to "Crucify him! Crucify him!" In both the praises and the shouts of anger, Jesus remained who he was and focused on how his actions reflected his mission. We have all heard the saying “Actions speak louder than words.” Jesus invites us to take up our cross and follow him, and he acts out his love and concern not only for his disciples, but for those who would have him crucify. Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. The road to the cross leads up to the ultimate act of forgiveness and love.
