God saved us for a purpose; not just to be with God sometime in the future but to make a difference today. Often, when we retire from our careers, the temptation is to believe that our life’s purpose is over. This is why major life transitions can be so hard. If I am not a teacher or accountant or raising children…, then what am I? Answering the question of purpose is an ongoing challenge. Your purpose may change at different stages of your life. While your purpose may change, the need for a purpose does not. God has given each of us our lives to be used to bring glory to God by living out our purpose each day. Life matters and what we do with this gift of life matters as well. How we use our lives is our purpose and calling.
