Each one of us has been shown what it is to know God. Our knowledge and even our worship have been influenced by the faith and belief of past generations. We did not come out of the womb singing “A Mighty Fortress” contrary to some opinions. One of the many joys of Desert Hills is that we are a congregation that has come from different areas of the country with a wide variety of worship experiences. Yet, all of us were led to know the Gospel by someone with a human heart and a human caring spirit. Today is an acknowledgment of those whose foundation we have built upon and a challenge to be the past that future generations can build upon as well. It is fitting that today we celebrate the countless opportunities to “Make A Difference” in our world. Some in big ways others in small, but together the word of God will resonate throughout this place and ripple into the church of the future.
