"You Are What You Drink " - Sat. August 12, 2023

Living in the desert we understand how important water is for our survival and for all the plants and animals around us. We can especially see this truth when it comes to fruit bearing trees. If they don’t get enough water or the water is tainted with something harmful, the fruit will either not produce or will dry up. Even the Saguaro cacti, which have survived the desert heat for years, are struggling this year because of a lack of adequate rainfall. Water that is tainted with parasites or other disease often cause us to become dehydrated and can cause us to seek even more water.

Scripture tells us that when we drink from the living water of God, not only are we satisfied, but we also grow strong to face the difficult days ahead. Jesus wants us to drink from his life-giving fountain, so that we don’t chase after other water sources that only leave us wanting more.
